THE dedication and sacrifices of our servicemen was honoured at a golf day in Leatherhead last week.
The event at Tyrrells Wood Golf Club on April 18 saw 44 players take part, including injured serviceman from Headley Court.
Members of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, including three who made the journey from their base in Paderborn, Germany, also strolled the fairways at the Leatherhead course.
The day was organised by Bookham resident Barbara Dienn, with the help of her daughter Emilia and friend Sharon Thompson.

"It was a lovely day. Everyone had a great time and we hope to make it an annual thing now as it went so well."
Surrey Police was also represented at the event, as were firefighters from stations at Dorking, Leatherhead and Reigate.
Contributions to the organisation of the day were made by Downs Solicitors in Dorking and Guildford Rotary Club.
