CHIPSTEAD boss John Hamsher has resigned from his position, with the club's vice-chairman Mike Ford taking over first team affairs for the final three games of the season.
Hamsher, who took over in September, has seen his side plummet down the Ryman League Division One South table in recent weeks, having been in contention for a play-off place at the turn of the year.
The Chips have won just four games in 2013, with three defeats in their last four games seeing them drop to a new season low of 20th in the league - six points above bottom club Walton Casuals with three games remaining.
The club has said that it wishes to thank Hamsher for all his hard work and wishes him well in the future, while it has been confirmed that Ford will take over team affairs for the final three games of the season.
Chipstead host Whitstable Town at High Road on Saturday, before welcoming title chasing Maidstone United on Tuesday night.
The Chips then complete their season away at Corinthian-Casuals on Saturday, April 27.
