TWO churches are selling their furniture to make way for new community centres in Redhill and Reigate.
The first parish centre to be built, at St Joseph's, Redhill, was completed recently and will be followed by another one at Holy Family Church, Reigate, later this year.
The contents from both presbyteries, including a kitchen with a New World range cooker and integrated fridge and freezer, are now up for grabs.
The sale takes place at both churches on April 27 from 9am until noon. Items at Holy Family, Yorke Road, are also available from the presbytery before, on Thursday and Friday mornings from 9am until noon.
At St Joseph's, Ladbroke Road, items will only be available at the final sale, in the garage at the back.
A minimum donation will be required for some goods, which also include a dining table and chairs, oak parquet flooring and a dark wood 8ft meeting table.
Proceeds go towards an estimated £500,000 needed to build and maintain the new centres, which will also be open to the wider community.
A full list of items, with some pictures, is available at http://www.thenativityofthelord.org.uk/home/parish_fundraising/parish_fundraising.html#Furniture
