HISTORY will repeat itself at this year's Leatherhead Drama Festival, as its first adjudicator takes up the role again.
Organisers of the event, staged over two weeks at the Leatherhead Theatre, from May 6 to 18, hope to make this its best year yet, to mark its tenth anniversary.
The festival is the biggest of its kind in the country, and chairman David Brett has said this year's line-up is among the "best ever".
Mike Kaiser was in the hot seat for the first Leather-head Drama Festival and said he is looking forward to returning to this "notable success in the competitive, amateur live theatre calendar".
The festival's adjudicator awards marks for various aspects of a performance, while also offering praise and suggestions for improvements where appropriate.
Mr Kaiser has adjudicated for festivals across the UK and spent more than 30 years teaching English and drama.
He is a member of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators, which sets the guidelines by which the festival plays are judged.
Audiences can hear Mr Kaiser's opinion at the end of each evening of the festival.
