A block of flats in Redhill was evacuated this afternoon after fire broke out, filling the building with smoke.
The alarm was raised at 4.19pm when the fire was discovered in the shower room of a flat in Upper Bridge Road.
Around four flats above were filled with smoke and six people evacuated the building.
Fire crews from Godstone and Reigate were scrambled and took little over an hour to extinguish the blaze, which had taken hold in an electric shower unit.
