WHEN buying a house, make sure you make full use of all the information put in front of you. This may sound obvious but it's not unusual for us to meet potential buyers at a property and for them to say: "Oh, I didn't know it didn't have a loft room/study/en-suite."
Look at the floor plans, watch the video, look at the location on the mapping service on the website, read the particulars and then go through some front doors.
Don't rush, don't cram too many appointments into one day and take your time. It would be a shame to see a house you love and find you are due to be elsewhere in five minutes – it could mean you miss the home of your dreams if your mind is elsewhere.
Ask questions – all the staff at Patrick Gardner & Co live locally and should be able to provide the answers you need. If we don't have the answer there and then, we will always get back to you.
Don't be afraid to ask what might seem like a daft question – believe me, we will have heard much more obscure questions before.
We never forget that, although we are dealing with property every day, you might be buying your first home and we will always try to make sure that the whole process runs as smoothly as possible.
