A man seen near a barn fire in Bletchingley has been identified following a media appeal made by detectives.
The suspicious fire off Bletchingley Road on February 4 caused about £100,000 damage.
Yesterday police appealed for help in identifying a man they wanted to trace as part of their investigation.
Detective Con Jemma Daly, said: "Following the media appeal I received a high volume of calls naming the man we wanted to speak with and he is now being treated as a potential witness.
"I would like to thank everyone who provided information to police."
