FIFTEEN Caterham School students have good reason to celebrate.
The eight girls and seven boys have received offers of places from Oxford and Cambridge Universities in subjects ranging from medicine and classics to engineering and geography.
Kim Wells, the school's director of learning and teaching, said: "I am delighted for all these students. It is becoming increasingly difficult to gain a place at Oxford and Cambridge as for each place there are over five applicants, all of whom are predicted to achieve top grades. All of our 32 students that applied, including those that unfortunately did not secure a place, deserve great credit because they have worked so hard."
