A MOTHER of five who is dying of cancer has one final wish – a dream wedding.
Sarah Dunn has overcome two battles with the disease in the past 18 months, even posting "I beat cancer" on Facebook at the end of last year.
But in a devastating blow, the 28-year-old has been told her cancer is back for a third time, and doctors say there is nothing they can do.
Chemotherapy treatment can give her only months more to live at the most.
Her heartbroken friends are now rallying round to help Sarah and her fiance Kris Flint walk up the aisle before she dies.
Sarah, a former pupil at Warlingham School, said: "Last week a doctor at St Luke's Cancer Centre in Guildford told me the cancer has spread rapidly.
"I asked him 'will I die?' and he said 'yes'.
"Chemotherapy can prolong my life for weeks or maybe months."
Her five children are aged between one and twelve.
Sarah's friends initially hoped to raise £500 towards her big day, but her plight has moved so many people that donations have flooded in.
As the Mirror went to press, the total stood at an impressive £2,635 from 157 donors – with more set to come from a family fun day next month.
Sarah told the Mirror: "It's unbelievable. I'm overwhelmed by people's kindness, some of whom I've never even met.
"If it was not for such good friends I'd be crying all the time."
Sarah was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in September 2013, after which she had a hysterectomy.
The cancer flared up again last summer.
Six weeks of gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy followed – and last November she posted an "I beat cancer" photograph on her Facebook page.
But sadly the cancer has returned once more.
Long-standing friend and former Warlingham schoolmate Becka Creasey, of Sunny Rise, Caterham, has helped to organise the fundraising.
She said: "We don't want to believe she is dying.
"Sarah loves her fiance Kris Flint and wants to leave this life with him by her side as his wife.
"She said she could not afford her dream wedding – now we want to make it happen."
The wedding has been arranged for February 21 at St Peter and St Paul Church in Lingfield, not far from her home in Saxbys Lane.
A reception for 70 guests will be held at the Felbridge Hotel.
Part of the money will fund a trip to Disneyland Paris for the family – and other surprise treats are being planned.
Mrs Creasey added: "We didn't expect such amazing generosity from so many lovely people.
"The appeal has just gone mad."
One well-wisher, who gave £5 online, sent the message "It's heartbreaking to hear this. I hope Sarah's wishes come true."
Chloe, who gave £20, said: "I hope you get your amazing wedding day.
"You have amazing friends which must be great for you even in these bad times."

A family fun day for Sarah will be held at Hurst Green Community Centre on February 28 from 1 to 4pm.
