THE most popular names among Surrey parents have been revealed.
Pregnancy and parenting support organisation Bounty has compiled the data from new mums and dads to provide a list of the top baby names picked by Surrey parents last year.
In 2014, Emily and Jack were the number one names given to Surrey babies.
The list also shows that Isla and Olivia are among the names given to baby girls in Surrey.
With boys' names Harry and Oliver proving more popular with parents in Surrey than the rest of the UK.
Nationwide, the study of over 370,000 names unveiled Kian, Teddy, Elijah, Thea, Darcie and Harper as 'ones to watch' in 2015 after rising in popularity the most in the past year.
The annual baby names report from Bounty also revealed Megan, Maddison, Cameron and Aiden as the names that are fast falling from favour amongst parents in the UK.
Lisa Penney, spokesman for Bounty, said: "Year after year we see new parents influenced by popular culture – with names made famous by people in the public eye suddenly experiencing sharp rises in popularity.
"The names that celebrities choose for their own babies certainly affect trends. Harper, the name of the Beckhams' three-year-old daughter, was the fastest rising girls name in the past year rising 67 places to number 77."
The Top 100 boy's list shows some high climbers this year including Louie, Freddie, Sebastian, Ronnie and Seth.
Huge gains were made in the girls by Lottie, Elsie, Orla and Ivy.
Nationwide Jack has maintained the top spot in the boys' list, holding off stiff competition from Oliver and Charlie, which has climbed one place to three. And for the girls, Amelia, Olivia and Emily have held onto the same top three places they had last year.
Lisa added: "Like celebrities, some parents are getting more and more creative with their name choices in a bid to make sure their choice of baby name stands out from the crowd.
"But baby name trend can change quickly and names that first seem unusual can quickly become common in the classroom.
"Generally speaking whatever a child is called they usually grow up to make it their own, yet mums and dads should bear in mind that a really individual name can be a lot for a child to live up to."
