DETECTIVES investigating three arson attacks on cars parked in Redhill are appealing for information.
The incidents occurred overnight between Tuesday, January 6, and Wednesday 7, on The Frenches, Bletchingley Road and Albury Road.
Damage was caused to a Ford Mondeo, Renault Clio and a Vauxhall Corsa after the offender gained access to the vehicles and attempted to set them alight.
Investigating officer PC Dan Parsons, said: "Although we are still in the very early stages of this investigation we believe the three offences are linked due to the nature of the crime, the close proximity in which they occurred and the time-scale they were committed in.
"I would ask anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the time the offences were committed or who has their suspicions around someone they know, who they think could be responsible to contact us as a matter of urgency.
"I understand news of these offences will have an impact in the Redhill community, especially after the spate of arson offences which occurred in the summer of 2014.
"We do not believe these crimes are related to those offences and we are working closely with local residents to prevent any further incidents."
Anyone with information is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference 45150000551.
Information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
