EAST Surrey MP – and ex-postman – Sam Gyimah paid a visit to Horley posties delivering Christmas cheer.
The Tory MP visited Royal Mail's delivery office during the busiest time of year for postmen and postwomen.
He saw the hard work and dedication of postal workers to sort and deliver festive mail.
He was shown around by delivery office manager Katy France and was introduced to staff.
Mr Gyimah said: "It was great to meet postmen and women at Royal Mail's Horley delivery office. It brought home to me how challenging the work they do is – the early starts, the long walks carrying heavy parcels – that I remember from my student days working as a postman in north London.
"Our postal workers do such an important job at this time of year."
