DUNOTTAR School pupil Katriona Brown is to represent Surrey County in cross-country athletics.
Brown, 13, was one of eight cross-country athletes selected to represent Surrey at the Inter-Counties at Oxford.
Proud mother Nuala Brown said: "The course was very demanding and Katriona had a great run, coming 41st out of a field of 88.
"Surrey got team gold, and Katriona was very pleased with her run and her placing."
