A SURREY man who Boris Johnson tried to calm during a flight into Heathrow has been charged.
David Morris, 43, of Ash Vale, has been charged with assault by beating and being drunk on a plane.
The Metropolitan Police Service also charged him with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards a cabin crew member.
The mayor of London reportedly intervened during the alleged disturbance on a Malaysia Air flight from the Far East to help cabin crew pacify the man.
It is believed he warned the passenger he could be arrested at Heathrow.
Mr Morris has been bailed before an appearance at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on December 18.
