THE latest American trend to hit our shores is Black Friday.
The Friday after Thanksgiving is traditionally a huge shopping day for our trans-Atlantic cousins and Black Friday is the day when shops slash their prices to encourage shoppers to pay them a visit.
In recent years more and more stores over here have joined in the party and this year promises to be no exception.
So which Surrey stores are jumping on the bandwagon? And where should you hunt for deals?
ASDA
The Walmart-owned retailer has always been one of the leaders in Black Friday savings. Bosses promise this year's event will be three times bigger than last year with double the number of electronic goods at discount prices.
The Burgh Heath store is taking part starting at midnight.
Game
The computer-game retailer has already started plugging some deals on its website, with four-hour deals on offer at the moment, but the stores will slash their prices from opening tomorrow.
More online deals will go live at 6pm today and many stores open at midnight tonight. Redhill's Game in the Belfry will be opening normal hours.
Sainsubry's
The supermarket is joining the party for the first time and the Redhill store is one of those taking part. Electronic goods prices will be slashed.
Topshop and Topman
Topshop is offering 50 per cent off selected lines and free delivery for online orders. Topman is offering similar discounts on various ranges.
Marks & Spencer
The department store chain has not released the final details of its deals this year but they are expected to be wide-ranging.
