PRINCE Charming, the Joker and Hermione Granger all rubbed shoulders in a special book week at Reigate Priory School.
The last week of the first half of term was dedicated to the idea of students looking at famous stories from the point of view of different characters.
To kick the week off, teachers dressed as Cinderella's Ugly Sisters and Miss Trunchbull from Roald Dahl's Matilda to take a special assembly trying to explain they were not such bad people.
Oliver Williams, assistant head teacher at the Bell Street school, said: "The Ugly Sisters told the kids how, in fact, they run an orphanage and Cinderella runs a cleaning firm because she actually likes cleaning. The children have really enjoyed reading the stories and turning them around to see them from different points of view."
As part of the week's activities, students created newspapers and advertisements about different characters from popular stories.
To tie up the event, pupils and teachers dressed up as their favourite characters on Friday, with some putting their own spin on the character – Mr Williams, for example, was Prince Charming the international rap star.
