A STALWART of East Surrey Museum has had his hard work acknowledged.
For the past 22 years Mike Nicholls has been treasurer of the museum in Stafford Road, Caterham.
He also serves on the museum's management committee and helps run its shop.
As a thank you, Mr Nicholls was presented with an engraved tankard at the October 14 committee meeting.
Museum curator Chris Taylor said: "Being treasurer is a very exacting job.
"Mike has done it very well and is much liked by all at the museum."
