Redhill boss praises Faversham ahead of league clash

REDHILL boss Mike Maher has heaped praise on Faversham Town ahead of their clash at Salters Lane on Saturday.

The Lobsters face a tough task in Kent as they face a Lilywhites side flying high in the Ryman League Division One South, with Faversham currently second after a 4-1 win at Three Bridges on Tuesday night.

And Maher admits it is going to be a difficult test for his side, who are still short of several key players due to injury.

"Faversham are a good side," he said.

"They are a good, well run club and their management team have been building something special there over the last couple of years.

"It is difficult for us as a small club with a few injuries and it will be a big ask against Faversham, but we will go there and give it a go."

Mahers is hopeful that defender Jon Difford may be available for the clash, but he is likely to be without the injured trio of Jordan Anderson, Joe Bingham and striker Gavin Gordon.
