MORE patients could come forward following revelations an East Surrey Hospital doctor was fired after an investigation found cancer patients came to "serious harm".
Law firm Penningtons Manches believes patients treated privately by consultant urologist Paul Miller could also have been affected.
This week, Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust apologised to 1,200 people who were treated for bladder and prostate cancer by the former consultant between 2006 and 2013.
Following an internal investigation and an external review by the Royal College of Surgeons, 27 of those patients were found to have come to "serious significant harm".
Mr Miller was suspended last year and has now been dismissed.

Senior Associate at Penningtons Manches Andrew Clayton told the Mirror one person who was treated at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital in Horley has already contacted the firm expressing concern about his treatment.
He added: "Although it was right and proper to investigate the concerns before disciplining Mr Miller, it will have been very distressing for his patients to wait for nearly a year before receiving a letter this week confirming his dismissal.
"It has yet to be ascertained just how adversely their health may have been affected by his failings."
John Crisp, director at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital told the Mirror Mr Miller's clinical practise was reviewed.
He added: "Supported by a team of consultant urologists we are reviewing the notes of Mr Miller's patients and are working in conjunction with the Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust to review the medical records of patients as quickly as possible.
"Spire suspended Mr Miller in December 2013 as soon as the Trust notified us of their investigation into Mr Miller and he has not undertaken any surgery or held clinics at our hospital since.
"We are sorry for any distress this may be causing our patients."
NHS Trust patients can contact its helpline on 0808 168 7754.
The Spire patients helpline is 0800 093 7551.
