A PAIR of men have been charged following an attempted robbery at a Reigate jewellers.
On October 16, two men, dressed as postmen entered Philip Lloyd Jewellers on the High Street and assaulted a member of staff before making off empty handed.
Following the offence a thorough investigation was carried out by officers from Surrey Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit which resulted in the two men being charged yesterday (March 7).
Michael Terrance King, 47, from Bordon in Hampshire and Michael William King, 79, also from Bordon, were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
A woman in her 20s, who was also arrested in connection with the robbery, was released with no further action being taken against her.
The pair are expected to appear at Redhill Magistrates Court on March 22.
