A BEREAVED mother is hosting a fundraiser following the death of her baby son.
He was put on life support, but he did not recover and died on January 3. Stillbirth and Neonatal Death charity (Sands) helped the Caterham family overcome their grief.
Mrs Pandya-Patel said: "It was such a shock, but Sands was just so fantastic.
"It provided us with a memory box which had his neonatal wires, his hat and blanket and lots of stuff we would never have thought of. We are so grateful for what it did. It's a really lovely cause."
The family have been raising money for the charity since their loss. Mrs Pandya-Patel said: "We just wanted something positive to do after a horrible period."
She will be hosting a charity morning, on October 17, at Heaven, in High Street, Nutfield, between 9.30am and 11.30am.
