Redhill's FA Cup run came to a frustrating end as they were beaten 1-0 at Southern Counties East League side Greenwich Borough.
The Lobsters dominated large swathes of the clash at Princes Park, but were just unable to find that killer pass.
In the end, the game's only goal came in stoppage time at the end of the first half when Billy Bennett fired in from 10 yards after Chris Edwards' cross.
Mike Maher's men showed plenty of endeavour but were unable to find a way through, with Tyrone Pink coming closest to levelling after a fine run into the box ended with a shot into the side-netting.
The visitors made a bright start and Javlon Campbell had a shot well blocked, but the closest either side came in the early stages was a Chris Edwards shot which went just over the top after John Difford had headed out Danny Phillips' cross.
Campbell used his pace to get at the Borough defence but Aaron Day stood up and was able to get in the way of his effort.
Phillips' mazy run ended with a low shot which was easy for Michael Hunter to save, before Paul Vines sent a left-footed half-volley wide from 20 yards.
Although it was the home side – technically the underdogs on league standings – who were coming closer to testing the opposing goalkeeper, Redhill looked dangerous in the opening half an hour, but were just unable to find the final ball.
They did have a chance though when Greenwich failed to clear their lines and the ball fell to Scott Harris, but his well-struck effort was blocked by Joe Vines.
Things got a touch heated when a breakaway that looked certain to end in a two-on-two situation for the visitors was ended by a bad tackle from Edwards, and Redhill's attempts at a quick restart were halted, leading to some handbags.
Redhill did have the ball in the net through Chris O'Flaherty but the whistle had already gone against Campbell in the build-up, and on the stroke of half-time, the home side took the lead.
Skipper Aaron Day found Edwards on the right wing and his cross took a slight deflection before dropping to Bennett, and while some around him were shouting for handball, he calmly lashed the ball low past Hunter.
Bradley Duke made a fine run up the right as Redhill looked to get back on terms early in the second half, but when his cross ricocheted to Campbell, the striker was flagged offside.
The visitors were still patient in their approach, and were almost caught out at the other end when Lewis Wood chipped Hunter but Rob Hill got back to hack it away under pressure from Edwards.
Pink's cross was headed over by Campbell and sub Fiachra McArdle had a shot blocked after a corner, before a moment of individual brilliance almost brought the Lobsters level as Pink collected the ball and ran into the box, but his shot went into the side-netting.
Craig Holloway blocked a cross-shot from Joe Bingham, and although the home side did have a few sights of goal in the latter stages, there was little to trouble Hunter.
Holloway, though, was becoming increasingly busy and had to save well after McArdle made space in the box, and even though Hunter made his way up for a late free-kick, it was Borough who progressed to the fourth qualifying round for the first time in their history.
