Ryman League Division One South Worthing 1 South Park 4 South Park produced an excellent performance to come away form Worthing with a 4-1 victory despite having eight members of the squad unavailable. Park took the lead in the seventh minute when Chris Smith nicked the ball from the defender and unleashed an unstoppable 25 yard shot past the keeper. The home side equalised in the 10th minute when Trevor Mcreadie's shot on the turn from 8 yards beat James Wastell. Park regained the lead in the 22nd minute when Joe Jackson headed home Stafford's throw. Michael Smith made it 3-1 in the 29th minute, the ball dropping behind him his back heel found the back of the net from 6 yards. Early in the second period Worthing were reduced to ten men when Mcreadie was sent off after a tussle with Stafford. Soon after Chris Smith latched on to Michael Smith's through ball and although the home keeper parried the shot the ball fell kindly for Chris Smith who walked the ball into the unguarded net. The home side despite being a man down did not give up and Wastell had to be on his toes to make a couple of excellent saves. Park are at home to Hythe Town on Saturday as they look for their fourth consecutive league victory. On Tuesday South Park entertain Leatherhead in the 1st round of the Robert Dyas League Cup.
