A CHARITY which helps hard-pressed families with young children holds its annual meeting on Monday.

Redhill-based Home-Start East Surrey is in its 20th year, covering areas including Redhill, Reigate, Horley, Oxted and Caterham.

During the meeting, Caroline – the mother of a boy called Henry – will tell how she has received invaluable support from Home-Start to turn their lives around.

Debbie Wade, who oversees the charity's volunteers, will highlight its involvement in the local community.

The annual meeting is at 10am at Bletchingley Golf Club.

Among those attending will be the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead Councillor David Pay, the chairman of Tandridge District Council Councillor Elizabeth Parker and the charity's patron Sally Marks, vice-chairman of Surrey County Council.

The charity is seeking more volunteers to support families. To find out more call Debbie Wade on 01737 770220.
