A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been charged following burglaries targeting elderly women in Tadworth earlier this month.
Three pensioners were targeted on separate occasions, in which handbags, jewellery and medals were stolen.
On September 1, a handbag containing a gold wedding ring was stolen from the home of a woman in her 80s.
Three days later, a man attempted to break in to the home of a woman in her 80s but was confronted by the homeowner and left empty-handed.
On September 9, medals were stolen from the home of a pensioner in her 80s.
Daniel Bailey Rogers, of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on September 26 faced with two counts of burglary and one attempted burglary.
