THREE armed men robbed a Reigate supermarket yesterday morning and made off with cash, according to police.
Officers say the men, all wearing hoods, smashed their way in through the front entrance of Morrisons in Bell Street at 1am.
The men, armed with crowbars, threatened staff and took two cash till drawers.
They then made off in a dark-coloured Vauxhall Vectra, believed to be a 2002 model or newer, towards the High Street. No members of staff were injured during the incident.
Investigating Officer Detective Constable Steven Cassidy said: "This was a frightening incident for the members of staff who should not be subjected to this kind of behaviour at their workplace.
"This happened at a quiet time of night and caused a significant disturbance. With that in mind we are hoping that there may have been people in the area that can help us with more information.
"If you did see anything out of the ordinary, for instance the Vauxhall Vectra before or after the robbery, or if you have any more information about the three men then please get in touch by calling us on 101 and quoting the reference number 45140067527."
