Mattia De Sciglio has been made a priority by Liverpool, but AC Milan are prepared to fight to keep hold of him.
Brendan Rogers wanted a player who could challenge Glen Johnson for a starting spot, and 21 year old De Sciglio is seen as the perfect choice.
They will have to act fast however, as the right back has been linked with many other clubs, including Real Madrid, PSG and Monaco.
De Sciglio made 21 appearances for Milan last year, but is unsure whether he wants to remain at the San Siro or move elsewhere.
