GOLF: Tandridge Golf Club in Oxted will be hosting the England Leading Ladies Championships from Monday, August 4.
Coinciding with the recent completion of an upgrade to its 90 year-old course the club will host the amateur ladies event that will take place over three days.
Over the last four years, the golf course has enjoyed a substantial facelift and is now recognised as one of the best in the country.
To celebrate this, the club will host 120 of the world's finest amateur lady golfers for the tournament
Practice will take place on Monday August 4, with the opening two rounds played on Tuesday and Wednesday featuring leading amateurs from no fewer than 15 countries including Australia, Spain and the USA.
The leading 36 and ties will return the following day, Thursday August 7, where they will play two more rounds to determine this year's champion.
Recent winners include Solheim Cup star Charley Hull who is already making a huge impact on the professional circuit, and Jodi Ewart Shadoff who now plays in America and is in the world's top 60.
This year's champion will be offered honorary membership at Tandridge.
Spectators are welcome on all four days of the competition and there is no charge for entry to the event.

"We are sure that the ladies will put on a great display of golf, and that all those attending will enjoy seeing the changes for themselves."
