SAM Gyimah has been appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Education.
The promotion of the East Surrey MP, previously a Government whip, was announced today via Twitter.
The official Twitter channel for Prime Minister David Cameron's office tweeted to say: "Sam Gymiah [sic] has been appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State @educationgovuk #reshuffle"
Mr Gyimah represents towns such as Caterham, Oxted, Warlingham and Horley.
The change comes as Prime Minister David Cameron is reshuffling the Conservative members of his cabinet.
