A FATHER has been jailed for life and his son given 16 years' imprisonment after a violent robbery at Tattenham Corner, near Epsom. Terrence Clark, 50, and his son Lewis, 27, attacked a cash-in-transit victim with an imitation firearm before escaping with around £45,000 in January last year. They were convicted at Guildford Crown Court of conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to possess a firearm or imitation firearm. Following the crime, a massive police investigation was launched, including a Twitter reconstruction of the day's events.See the Twitter timeline of the reconstruction Afterwards Crown Prosecution Service spokesman Jaswant Narwal said: "This was an appalling crime with the victim left with serious injuries following the robbery. "The evidence showed that the defendants carefully planned this raid, with the motive appearing to be sheer greed. "Both men were only interested in the money and neither has shown any remorse for the injuries they inflicted on the driver." During the trial the court was told how Lewis had used the social media site YouTube for tips on how to commit a cash-in-transit robbery.Surrey Police on the consequences of the offence
