GAS works on the A25 near Redhill town centre which have been causing tailbacks to Bletchingley are due to finish on Monday (June 9).
Temporary traffic lights have been in place in Nutfield Road just before Redstone Hill since Monday.
Southern Gas Networks are carrying out repair works following a gas leak.
The carriageway closure has meant drivers coming into the town via the A25 have experienced delays of up to 30 minutes, with stop-start traffic from Bletchingley through to Nutfield.
Meanwhile, the route out of Redhill has so far been unaffected.
