Newly promoted East Molesey produced a shock as they beat the Reigate Priory second XI. Richard Stevens (50), Steve Cross (2-24) and Chris Wigley (2-34) were the stand-out performs for the Priory.
The third XI started with a convincing 56 run win over Ashtead – Andy Hook hit 50 and Irfan Hamed took 3-20.
Woking & Horsell fourth XI beat the Llamas fourth XI (Surrey Championship) by 52 runs, James Friend picked up 3-33.
Sunday saw the first XI take on Horsham in the ECB National Club Championship. Horsham posted 237 in their 45 overs, with Toby Briggs collecting 3-45, and the spin duo of Simon King (1-34) and Luke Beaven (1-35) stemmed the runs in the middle order. Chris Murtagh top-scored with 59, however the Priory chase fell 60 runs short.
The Lady Llamas started first weekend of Southern League Division Three with a six wicket defeat against Henfield and finally the Cavaliers drew an exciting game with Brighton College staff with just one run separating them. Andy Delmont hit 95 not out and Jai Patel 44 not out were the standout performers for the Cavaliers.
