CRACKING business ideas over Easter will help youngsters get on the path to entrepreneurial greatness.
Budgens, in Walton-on-the-Hill, has teamed up with Year 5 and 6 classes at nearby Bramley Primary School to give pupils hands-on business experience.
Store manager Maria Couchman has equipped pupils with homework sheets, including recipes and a profit and loss calculator.
The youngsters will now buy baking ingredients, make treats and sell them over the Easter holidays before returning to school to compare their profits.
Ms Couchman said: "As a fairly new business in the area, promoting young entrepreneurs is something that we are extremely excited about.
After the holidays, Paula Burgess, head teacher of the independent girls' school in Chequers Lane, will review the students' economics skills and business strategies.
The student who makes the most profit over the break will win a hamper of baking ingredients.
