A MAN has been charged after scaffolding was stolen in Whyteleafe.
Officers were alerted to suspicious activity at a building site on St Mary's Mount at around 7.30pm on April 14.
Several hundred pounds worth of scaffolding were stolen from the site.
A short while later three people were arrested on suspicion of theft.
On Tuesday, James Paul Thompson, 27, of Church Hill in Caterham was charged with theft. He is due to appear at Redhill Magistrates Court on May 9.
A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy who were also arrested in connection with this offence have been ordered to attend a youth intervention programme.
