Boy killed at Horley Railway Station named

THE TEENAGE boy who died at Horley Railway Station last night has been named locally as Jesse Quincey. Emergency Services were called to the station at around 8.20pm yesterday following reports of a body on the tracks. It is believed the boy was electrocuted after falling from the platform and coming into contact with the live rail. On Twitter, Anais Whittle (‏@whittle352) said: "R.I.P to the 16 year old boy that died last night at Horley train station, my thoughts are with your family and friends. Sleep tight jessey(sic)" Further tributes were also paid. One message read: "RIP to the poor boy who fell onto the track at Horley and sadly passed away. "My thoughts are with your family. Sleep well sweetie." A British Transport Police spokesman confirmed officers wee called to the scene following reports of a body on the tracks. She added: "Officers discovered the body of a male who is believed to have been electrocuted after falling from the platform and coming into contact with the live power rail "At this stage, officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances and the incident appears to have been the result of a tragic accident." South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance were called to the scene.
