CRICKET: Merstham Cricket Club is now the official summer base of The Surrey Learning and Physical Disability County Cricket Club squad.
The squad compete in the South East BACD County Championship playing against Essex and Hampshire and also face mainstream opposition.
They will play their county championship match against Kent at Quality Street on May 4, and will train at the club every other Wednesday from April 9 to August 20, 6-8pm.
Merstham has several players with disabilities who feature in this squad, which caters for people with varying disabilities, from being deaf and visually impaired to having cerebral palsy and learning difficulties.

Surrey disability will play at Quality Street on Sunday, August 24, against Merstham, at 11am, as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations. A Merstham XI will then take on a Surrey Masters team, made up of former county players, as the club's main anniversary match.
