AFTER a sub-zero start this morning, temperatures are expected to remain fairly low this week.
Parts of East Surrey dipped to -3C overnight, but strong sunshine is quickly warming things up. It will remain with us this morning, with temperatures reaching 9C but cloud will build this afternoon and showers will set in this evening.
Tuesday is set to be the wettest and coolest day of the week, with rain expected over the course of the day and temperatures reaching no higher than 7C in Dorking and Redhill.
Wednesday to Friday look brighter, but the mercury is not expected to move into double figures during the day, and will fall close to freezing at night.
