Southern Counties East League
Whyteleafe 4 Sevenoaks Town 0
Whyteleafe extended their lead at the top of the table with this comfortable win against Sevenoaks, the only side to have beaten Leafe in the league this season.
Leafe went close to taking the lead in the eighth minute. Greg Andrews sent Roscoe DSane clear and his shot from a narrow angle hit the bar.
The hosts didn't have to wait long for the opening goal, Taylor Smith running on to a long through ball in the 11th minute and unleashing an unstoppable shot from 25 yards into the back of the net.
DSane found Smith on the edge of the box. He beat two defenders and was only denied his second by a fine save from Charlie Mann.
Leafe's second came in the 22nd minute. Jason Thompson curled a free kick into the goal from 22 yards with the keeper caught hopelessly out of position.
Leafe's third came in the 30th minute when Thompson's inswinging corner was headed home at the near post by Jensen Grant.
Sevenoaks had a good period of dominance for half an hour but never really threatened the Leafe goal. Leafe didn't have another good chance until the 72nd minute when Bentley Graham put DSane clear but Mann was quickly out to block his effort.
DSane was brought down on the right in the 77th minute. Thompson whipped in a dangerous free kick that Taylor Smith turned over the bar at the near post.
Leafe finally got the fourth goal in the 88th minute when another well struck free kick, this time from Andrews curled into the corner of the net.
