DOZENS of energetic youngsters from 15 primary schools ran their hearts out in cross-country competitions.
Harley Norman, of Oakhyrst Grange School in Stanstead Road, Caterham, won the boys' race for the second year running.
And his school won the boys' competition.
Isabella Sims, of Cumnor House School, in Croydon, won the girls' event, also for the second year in a row.
The best performing girls' team was Royal Russell School, of Croydon.
The event, which took place at Warlingham Park School on February 24, was held in perfect conditions in the school's open countryside.
The recent downpours did nothing to hamper the event.
Children from various state and independent sector primary schools in Tandridge and Croydon took part.
Other participating schools included Essendene Lodge, Gresham Primary and Laleham Lea School.
Mike Donald, head teacher of Warlingham Park School, said: "Our school's extensive sports fields and countryside location made it an ideal venue for this competition."
