A TRIAL date has been set for a Warlingham man accused of possessing dangerous or noxious chemicals with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Duncan Railton, 41, of Cranmer Close, denied the charge when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court on December 20.
He is charged with possessing phenal, nitric acid, sulphuric acid, potassium ferrocyanide and phosphorous yellow sticks.
Last October his semi-detached property was cordoned off for two days as police carried out investigations.
Ambulance crews and fire officers also attended the scene.
Flanked by two security officers, Mr Railton appeared in the dock last month dressed in a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans. He spoke only to confirm his name, and to plead not guilty to the charge.
His trial, which is expected to last four days, has been set for March 25. He was remanded in custody.
