CRYSTAL Palace new boy Tom Ince was delighted with his Premier League debut on Saturday and has thanked boss Tony Pulis for showing faith in him.
The 22-year-old, on loan until the end of the season from Blackpool, dazzled throughout the 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in SE25, with a goal and an assist inside the opening 27 minutes.
And Ince has warned opposition defences there's still more to come from him in the top flight too.
"It was nice to get a goal, and also an assist for Joe Ledley," he said.
"It was a much-needed three points and a massive game going into it, a six-pointer if you like and we fully deserved it.
"It was the first time I have been in amongst it (at Premier League level) and at times I found it difficult but it's all part of learning.
"I'm pleased with it and I haven't trained for about about two weeks fully. I have only been training for the last week or so with the lads, and to be thrown straight in from the gaffer, he gave me that faith to go in there and just enjoy it.
"I definitely enjoyed it and to pick up the three points and get 90 minutes will definitely do me good.
"I think I need to be physically stronger. I haven't had the luxuries of Premier League training week in, week out with the intensity and weight programmes.
"I have just gained my strength by playing week in, week out. That's going to take some time but I know if the gaffer has that faith in me to play, sometimes it's about what you do with the ball and if I can get myself into the box, get shots off and put the ball in the back of the net.
"At times I was blowing, I'm not going to lie, but with more weeks and training with the lads, the fitter and stronger I'll be and a better player."
