AS another day in the world of football draws towards a close, we take a look at the stories making the headlines, including news of Yohan Cabaye's move to Paris Saint-Germain and an arrival at Newcastle United.
YOHAN CABAYE has today (Wednesday) completed his move from Newcastle United to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The influential midfielder has left the Magpies to join PSG for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £19m.
But while Newcastle have lost a key player in Cabaye, they have also welcomed a new arrival at St James' Park, with Dutch international striker Luuk de Jong joining on loan until the end of the season from German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
Elsewhere, Premier League strugglers Fulham have been linked with an £11m move for Olympiakos' Greek striker Konstantinos Mitroglou.
Meanwhile, Everton have been buoyed by the news that on-loan Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku could be out for weeks, not months, with an ankle injury he sustained during the Toffees' 4-0 defeat in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool yesterday (Tuesday).
