THE REALITY TV bubble could be heading to Surrey. Last summer a potential reality TV show for the county, calling itself Surrey Hills, began to tout its wares on the internet. YouTube videos of potential stars were released and social networking sites were littered with pictures and teasers from official accounts. Then it all went quiet. But now the team are back with a bang, announcing not just the release of their first 'sizzler' episode, but also a production team which includes an Emmy and Bafta-nominated director and a former Hollyoaks producer. The 'sizzler' episode - which will act as a forerunner to the series - was shot during January and will feature some faces which are familiar to those who have followed the show's build-up. The self-proclaimed "heart of Surrey" Benny Rose will be joined by supercar dealer Alan Watts and "Kate Middleton look-a-like" Holly Jennings, amongst others. The group say they aim to lift the lid on life in the leafy county and show off both the affluence and their real lives. Speaking to go! about the show, Benny said: "I personally think the general public are in for a surprise; we're going to be showing many different lifestyle choices in Surrey." The 'sizzler' show, which was shot over three days at a series of glamorous locations will be released online in a few weeks, with teasers coming out on Facebook and Twitter beforehand. But while the aspiring stars may be new, there are experienced hands at the helm of this ship. Producer Jo Hallows took soap opera Hollyoaks from one night a week to five nights a week and also produced Hollyoaks - On The Pull which was an early example of the talent-search show. Alongside her is Bafta-nominated director David Richardson, whose credits include Hollyoaks, Eastenders and Shamless. Jo said: "Surrey Hills will be visually stunning, sleek and stylish in its execution. "It will make you laugh and make you cry. "The audience will warm to the characters, will admire their courage and cringe when they realise the lengths they will go to, to realise their dreams. "Despite coming from the wealthiest households and the best schools, none of our cast expects handouts. "They all have their own dreams and goals and they will walk over anyone that attempts to stand in their way." One of the show's creators, Oliver Thomas, added: "We are thrilled to have Jo and David onboard. "Their achievements to date have been truly amazing and we are excited to move the Surrey Hills series forward under their direction." The show has not yet been picked up by a major TV channel.
