NOT one but two fantastic opportunities have arisen to become a reporter on the Surrey Mirror Series.
We are looking for people with talent, enthusiasm, ambition and commitment.
Having recently been nominated for Newspaper of the Year at the EDF regional journalism awards, we're looking to maintain our high standards.
As well as writing for the Surrey Mirror, Dorking Advertiser and Leatherhead Advertiser, the successful candidates will also write copy every day for our websites www.surreymirror.co.uk and www.dorkingandleatherheadadvertiser.co.uk and their continual improvement is a key part of the job.
More than 134,000 people visited these sites last month, and they are becoming more popular every week.
Based in our Redhill office, we are looking for reporters who will work hard to continuously make new contacts, pull in front page exclusives and immerse themselves into the community they will be writing about. They should also be brimming with creativity and ideas, have a sharp news sense and be able to turn their hand to any kind of story, whether it is a quirky human interest article, a hard-hitting crime story or an in-depth feature.
We want the best people for the job, whether these are senior reporters or talented trainees, but you must be a team player and eager to make a name for yourself.
You must have a driving licence and your own car.
If you are interested in the position, please e-mail editor Deanne Blaylock at deanne.blaylock@essnmedia.co.uk
Please supply cuttings with your application.
The deadline for applications is 4pm on January 31.
