DAME Judi Dench has been nominated in the Best Actress in a Leading Role at this year's Oscars.
The 79-year-old film legend, who won a Best Supporting Actress award for 1998's Shakespeare in Love, has been nominated for her performance as Philomena Lee in Philomena.
Outwood resident Dame Judi has been nominated for the Best Actress gong on four previous occasions, but has yet to win.
