THE storm may have now passed but many in East Surrey will be waking up to severe disruption this morning.
Many roads, including motorways are flooded, dozens of trees have come down onto roads and trainlines and plans for those expecting to make the big Christmas getaway this morning are in chaos.
Surrey Police are reporting 120 trees down across the county. At Gatwick Airport, a major power outage in the North Terminal is causing delays and cancellations.
There are reports of dozens of roads underwater across East Surrey, including in Dorking, Redhill, Reigate, and key trunk roads including the M25, A23, A25 and A217.

Earlier, both the M23 and M25 were closed in parts due to flooding.
The strongest winds recorded overnight were 62 mph at Gatwick and 47mph in Reigate.
But widespread flooding due to constant heavy rain falling on saturated grounds yesterday has overwhelmed drains. Dozens of flood warnings are in place across the South East, with the River Mole among those swollen by torrential rain. The water levels on rivers have not yet peaked, so more flooding could follow.
The storm has now passed and the weather will remain calm over the Christmas holiday with heavy rain set to return on Friday.
Updates to follow.
