A POPULAR farm shop is in the running to win a "rural Oscar".
The shop at Priory Farm in Sandy Lane, South Nutfield, is a South East of England finalist in the Countryside Alliance Awards. It was highly commended last year.
The shop attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually, dealing with around 250,000 transactions each year.
Shop manager Will Edwards said: "It is brilliant to be on the shortlist. We had almost 900 nominations from the public."
It is vying with four other finalists, and the result will be announced some time early in the New Year.
The shop boasts about 5,000 product lines.
Work will start in January on an extension to provide a wider range of products.
