A break-in at a Tadworth newsagent's is being linked to a similar incident seven miles away.
Police are still trying to establish what was taken after the incident at McColl's store in Tattenham Crescent last night.
It is believed this incident could link to a break-in at the Co-operative store on The Green in Warlingham which also took place overnight.
