DOGS and horses galore sought admiration in Dormansland at the weekend.

More than 130 competitors circled the rings for the Dormansland Horse and Dog Show, in a bid to raise money for three charities.

The show, at Carewell Farm, in St Piers Lane, Lingfield, also attracted 400 spectators.

"This year's show was great and I think, as a local horse and dog show, it is brilliant that we are able to attract people from further afield to take part," said show chairman Lucy Blackstone.

This year, the show raised money for Horsham-based Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre, Wildlife A&E, based in Crowborough, and Rescue Remedies, who cover the South East.

"We do not have the exact figures yet, but we hope we raised lots for these worthwhile causes," added Mrs Blackstone.

"All the money raised will go to the charities because the show is run completely by volunteers."
