THERE was musical entertainment, games including a coconut shy, and food on offer at a Caterham family fun day.

And it was all for a good cause, as visitors to the Douglas Brunton Centre on Park Road raised £250 for Breast Cancer Care on Wednesday last week.

"It was a fantastic day," said centre manager Stella Banks. "There were lots of people enjoying the activities, like the coconut shy.

"Members of the centre invited their grandchildren, neighbours and children to it and there was a great atmosphere with everyone seeming to have a good time."

The event ran for four hours and also featured a beer and cake tent.
